I drove to the little mountain city of Revelstoke, BC to capture Kody & Courtney's wedding day. My original plan was to bring my husband and kids and make a family weekend of it, but as circumstance would have it, I made the trip on my own; a solo-road trip I didn't know I needed. On the morning of July 16 I woke up early, made coffee at the cute Air BNB I was staying at (with a stellar view of the snow capped mountains), headed into Revelstoke and enjoyed a sunny morning walk. By 11:30 I was on my way to Revelstoke Mountain Resort for the big day! The Bride and Groom were getting ready in separate suites in the Sutton Hotel, and I hopped back and forth documenting all the special moments: champagne-popping, make-up-applying, gorgeous flat-lays, boutonniere-pinning (excuse me, YouTube, how does one properly pin a boutonniere?) dress- zipping and everything in between. I then took the gondola to the very tip top of the mountain (the VIEWS were insane!!) and photographed Courtney & Kody saying "I do" in front of their special people, against a backdrop of panoramic mountain views. The rest of the day consisted of family photos, wedding party and bridal portraits, a stunning reception at the Resort's Lodge (don't ever look at me during speeches, I'll be ugly crying), a delicious dinner, evening-light photos on the deck, lots of cake in the face, and soo much dancing. A gorgeous day, full of love, this wedding was one for the books!
